Bluntly it put my vote in play. Trump is a terrible corrupt incompetent sure but I am less sure than Yascha and co are that the right is more perilous in the US. Cities burned all summer for left wing causes. People flouted anti virus measures for left wing causes. And institutional power largely celebrated not criticized! Biden, in my view, did enough to avoid being tarred with the brush. He never equivocated, not once, on looting. But all of this - and the rapid rise of the successor ideology Wes Yang talked about on last week's pod that I see rapidly advancing in my life and community - scares me more than bad tweets and corruption. And if it hadn't been Joe... i think Trump would have won.
