With prosperity comes freedom for individuals to make choices. People with money in their pockets get to buy what they want when they want it - they have agency. When prosperity becomes limited to a chosen few, then only those few are free to make choices. Thanksgiving as a holiday and concept should be about appreciation for the freedom to make choices.

Thanksgiving as initially proclaimed by President Washington, and then again by President Lincoln who then made it a federal holiday, was always to give thanks to our Christian God. Secular progressives and our corporate masters that both want to control our minds or will and our pocketbooks... made it into something it was never intended to be. The pilgrim-Indian story is fakery.

So, if we are to Make Thanksgiving Great Again, we need to get back in touch with that truth. And all good and real Christians will welcome everyone and anyone to the table to give thanks in their own way.

How obtuse, the author of this piece is an atheist. Washington and Lincoln were heterodox Christians, if Christian at all. One reason Thanksgiving is such a great and beloved American tradition is that it is not religious. It is celebrated by believers and non-believers alike.

Washington...

“Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be--

That we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks--

for His kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation.”

Lincoln...

“I do, therefore, invite my fellow-citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a Day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens.

And I recommend to them that, while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners, or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty hand to heal the wounds of the nation, and to restore it, as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes, to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility, and union.”

If they were orthodox Christians, they would have used "God" instead of deist tropes (designed to fool people like you) like "great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good" and "our beneficent father."

Mr Casparov's dreamy America has turned into a nightmare!

Reasons are simple.

solutions are impossible.

Right here in previous issue of Persuation, a review of Hillbilly Eulogy will send chills on most American spine... one should be worried that " people" will again side with reboot of trumpianism.

You may find South Park in reality.

It will take more than 7 millions protesting.

Yet, it is quite possible, NY showed some flicker of new gen replacing the swamp.

Also, a perfect way to stifle 2party stalemate is to have multiparty with possibility of seats coalescing to form consensus quickly for the greater good.

A tough sell. To get out, one must change fundamentals.
