The malinformation industry, and Fuentes and Carlson are members, makes a boatload of money by being hateful, mean, divisive and wrong. Democracy and poorly-informed voters cannot coexist. Full stop.

Hate and mean is dominated by the left media... aka, the media.

Thanks, Mr. Lee, your comment illustrates my point. Millions, like you, are media illiterate and, like fish don't know that they are in water, you don't know that you are swimming in a sea of malinformation

LOL. Sure, I am media-illiterate. So, I subscribe to center-left Substacks like this and other hard left newspapers, magazines and online sources so I can remain media illiterate? Meanwhile did your Facebook feed give you this perspective?

You might try reading more books.

Were I a betting man, I would wager that you subscribe to left-of-center Substacks so that you have someplace to troll, as I've seen you do several times in the past few months. You are desperate for a liberal audience you can "own". Sad, really. BTW, I don't have a Facebook account, read 12 books so far this year (four novels and eight non-fiction) and posted 14 Substack pieces by my pen name The 13th Clown. I'm sure you can find them and troll me there. Always looking for more readers, Frank. 😎

It is essential to continue reporting on the craziness of the Woke Right. Carlson is an evil man, and he relishes that.

"The thrill of transgression is what he and his listeners live for." I wonder where that came from?

For a long time I'd seen the postmodern and critical theory "left" exulting in transgression. The canonical parody of PoMo was the ""Transgressing the Boundaries: Towards a Transformative Hermeneutics of Quantum Gravity." See the "Sokal affair in Wikipedia.

Recently I stumbled on a likely source: bell hooks’ 1994 book Teaching to Transgress.

(I'm not excusing in any way Fuentes or Carlson.)

Disparities between groups, without any reasonable explanation, are going to lead to conspiracy theories - the belief in systemic racism on the left and antisemitism on the right. Just admit that socially important traits aren’t evenly distributed and most of our problems go away.

The shallowness of thought, the “ideological flexibility,” the ability to foment hatred, all these are signs that not only are Carlson and Fuentes propagators of propaganda of the modern (or is it post-modern?) era of American politics, but they are (in a sense) victims of that very propaganda. They splash about in the shallow end of the pool, and all they can tell us is that down there in the deep end, monsters dwell. But will that keep us out of confronting the depths? I think not.

Fuentes is the opposite reflection of what passes for acceptable Democrat media influencer today... except both are antisemites. I applaud Tucker for giving a big finger to political correctness cancel culture and to interview opposing views. You don't have to agree with those views to respect an American 1A journalistic principle to allow them to be heard and assessed.

Impressive job amplifying Fuentes and Carlson. Will liberals ever learn to articulate and elevate their own ideas? When they do—and if those ideas resonate—they’ll win elections. But griping about the other side doesn’t move the ball forward.

American Jews have not been on the forefront of gun ownership. However, recently, with the rise of antisemitism in America and the rest of the world, Jews are moving more toward self defense and gun ownership - an emotional, but not necessarily an illogical response.
