Some of what is said here is not hnique to Latinos. Black Americans, by the way, also have diverse opinions about the role of race and identity. Many of us also are 1st and 2nd generation immigrants who don’t feel the census categories capture our identities in a consistent way
Any systemisation of living beings into categories is an act of simplification and therein callous effacement. My cats are all individual beings that are far more than just a a category.

1. Normal Human
2. Wokeist
