Great job. Thanks so much to the authors for this incredibly important piece. I recall Steven Pinker advocating for colleges to make basic statistics a mandatory requirement and I absolutely agree. I am beginning to think that modern society undervalues practical skills to the point that we are creating generations of people who are mediocre at their vocation and cognitively impaired when it comes to basic practical thinking and skills outside their job and career.
