"So a Sister Souljah (about the progressive left) moment or a series of Sister Souljah moments, which indicate no, we are grown up here, we get your concerns, I think would be highly merited."

Biden needs to do this yesterday. I am a former 20+ years volunteer for the Democratic Party and loathe Trump, but I also loathe the progressive left. Because Biden seems very diminished and is surrounded by progressive staffers, I have no confidence that he will remain centrist. I'm honestly considering not voting for for president and simply voting in down ballot races in November.

If the Democrats truly believed that Trump was an existential threat, they would recognize that centrists are the backbone of the party, not the fringe. And they wouldn't cynically promote the most MAGA candidates in primaries because they would want decent choices for both parties. A pox on both their houses!

Anything you'd want to reconsider about Biden after the SOTU?

I don’t think we can underestimate the president’s performance and it’s positive impact on many ppl in SOTU address two nights ago. Like many ppl who work long hours in stressful environments, speech can be affected until sleep is restored. This is rampant in US. JB is clearly on top of issues. Gossip drives the ‘age’ issue, as well as higher ed becoming propaganda more than education.

Is anyone seriously looking at the impact of Trump taking over the Republican National Committee? How much of RNC funding comes from major donors who will sit out this election cycle or, alternatively, support down ballot candidates of their choosing? The success rate of super MAGA candidates in contested elections has not been good.
