I've mentioned elsewhere that it'd be fun to ask the people claiming that criticizing the CCP is xenophobic whether criticizing the Israeli government is antisemitic.

Stalin coined the term "useful idiots" for those in the western democracies who reflexively supported his regime. Is there an equivalent term in Chinese?

Coming in late, but I enjoyed this article. Especially as it has aged well.

The woke left continues to smear itself, now with hysterical garbage about Palestine. I'm so confused bc as a youth I was a big lefty. Sharing is nice and what not.

I always thought lefties were correct in that we (now they) were more compassionate. Where is the compassion in ignoring your sides failures?

I'm not sure we'll ever get an answer. It's mystifying to me how this blindspot can exist.

Criticizing China's policies is very important. But the US should not be provoking China.

Christopher Rufo and James Lindsay have both extensively analyzed the similarities between the Cultural Revolution in China and the woke cult revolution in the U.S. It would be hypocritical of the woke cult to criticize Maoism, since they are copying its strategies.

I suspect, however, that woke activists are a lot more concerned about losing TikTok after having "lost" Twitter. They reportedly spend seven or more hours per day staring at their phones. If the Chinese military invaded the U.S. tomorrow, these individuals would probably welcome them into their homes. They would deserve whatever they get after that.
