Democrats teach hate and pretend it’s black history. This Real Clear Investigations article below from 2020 is about the “1619 Project” and what the author Nikole Hannah-Jones told the editors of the Chicago Tribune about its purpose which is, she said, to instill guilt in white liberals so they will support reparations for blacks. White liberals are not being targeted though. White children in our public schools are. And Woke white leftists love this and are totally supportive of it. She was even given a Pulitzer Prize for this poison in 2020. This is not “black history” though. This is anti-white hate mongering pretending to be history to instill guilt to gain support for reparations. This is evil and this is what the democrats have become. And these are the same people who say they simply can’t understand why so many people voted for Trump.

“If you read the whole project, I don’t think you can come away from it without understanding the project is an argument for reparations,” she told the Chicago Tribune in October.

“I'm not writing to convert Trump supporters. I write to try to get liberal white people to do what they say they believe in,” she said. “I'm making a moral argument. My method is guilt.”

What does any of that have to do with the article you're commenting on?

Charlie Kirk’s assassination on top of the murder of the young woman on the train which the left tried to ignore shows pretty clearly that we’ve passed the point of no return.

Megyn says we should all watch the video of the reaction of the young woman stabbed on the train. I agree. There’s a look of horror on her face as she looks up at the black man who stabbed her, then she realizes she’s been badly injured, then slides off the seat to the floor and dies. The other video shows this plus audio of the man saying “She called me a n**ger.” She obviously didn’t. He picked up that idea from the democrats who often claim an attack on a white person by a black is most likely due to being called a n**ger. Democrats are evil and insane.

That is precisely the point. All these articles like this talk about how awful Trump is. I agree. I voted for him 3 times but now consider him a disaster. What this article ignores though is why so many people like me voted for Trump. Democrats actively waged war not only on Trump but on his supporters like me for nearly 10 years. I naturally do not appreciate that at all and I believe that things like open borders, the war on meritocracy which was being replaced with equity aka race based equal outcomes and the constant demonization of “Whiteness!” by the democrats with their claim that white racism, “systemic racism” permeates AmeriKKKa and is always oppressing blacks ruined this country. That is a viciously insane lie which has led to black racial attacks on whites such as where the black man murdered the young white woman on the train and then said “I got that white girl.” I consider the Democratic Party a rabidly insane hate group that is actively waging a race war against white people. The Democratic Party and their media is owned and operated by upper class, Woke white leftist progressives who despise working class whites who don’t share their white guilt. This is the root cause of their obsession to grind people like me into the dirt which has destroyed America.

While no fan of the 1619 Project, I'm fairly certain that it's not on the "required reading list" in American K-12 schools. Should it happen to slip through, I'm sure that Secretary McMahon will wrassle it to the canvas. BTW, citing Real Clear Investigations is hardly a vote of confidence in the objective nature of the reporting. Also, arguing for reparations is hardly "evil", it's mostly silly. Big difference, there, unless you've gorged on disinformation sources while "doing your own research".

Many people believe that America is simply too big and too powerful to collapse but many people also believed that about the Soviet Union. No one in 1985 would have believed that the USSR, the mighty "Evil Empire,” would be a disintegrating mess in just a few years. I told that to someone last year who said "But the Soviet Union was a collection of separate countries.” What we have here though is a collection of separate realities which is a much deadlier situation. Could it be that the reason why America is so rapidly unraveling externally is because it has already ceased to exist as a country internally?

Anglo aristocracy, both in England and the US was perfectly aware of the risk that implies autocratic rule. College educated WASPs in the late XIX and early XX century perfectly understood that no amount of tax cuts would ever justify the expropiation risk that any autocrat implies. That wisdom was lost later on.

I would would argue just the opposite. Members of he chattering classes on the right were enamored during the 1930s with the "progress" being made by the governments in Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. At the same time if not earlier, members of the chattering classes on the left were fascinated by Soviet Russia. Autocratic government was considered to be the way to get things done. As one of my bosses used to advise, be careful what you ask for because you might get it.

Sure, but communism was a real threat!

In the typical history books Of the XIX and early XX century (you can find them in LibriVox) the aristocratic republican ideal is hammered, and in terms of class egoísm. For example, the idea that the lower classes support the monarchic government is often repeated (I remember a history of Holland where the popularity of William Orange is contrasted with the impopularity of de Witt, and “popular support for kings” is the main explanation)

In spite of being fully aware of the damage the democrats have done to our education system Bill Maher still voted for Kamala. How about illegal immigration? According to Tom Homan, the official numbers are 10 million known, 2 million got-aways. Most of these people are single young men that we know nothing at all about plus we’re supporting them on welfare. I live in Chicago and as of Dec 2024 we spent over $600M taking care of them and now have a $1.1B budget shortfall for next year. What does Maher think of this? No doubt he’s aware of how wildly insane it is yet voted for open borders Kamala anyway.

I voted for Trump 3 times and had high hopes for him after the election but now consider him a disaster who’s turned the world against us although at least he does believe borders are essential and that meritocracy is vastly superior to equity aka race based equal outcomes. I believe America has already ceased to exist as a country internally which is why it’s so rapidly unraveling externally. God only knows where we’ll all end up.

Trump is a disaster? So, your alternative is what?

I think some people are just so plugged into their media feeds getting the establishment messaging that they adopt an opinion without really understanding the basis for it.

"Turned the world against us"... you mean all those countries that had been exploiting our US-funded Global Order implemented their own National Industrial Policy while we kept giving our economy away for more Wall Street returns for the upper 10%?

You know, if your relative is living in your house rent free, not working too hard, eating all your food, driving up your utility bills, and you finally say you have had enough and he need to cover his own nut... he will likely turn against you... especially if you had been allowing it for several decades.

We have a system of checks and balances. The legislature is corrupt and has been controlled by Wall Street and the big corporations and they are intent to keep looting the country to an empty shell... export more working-class economic opportunity, importing more cheap-labor immigrants... all for the continued increase in income and wealth for the top 10%. The voters voted and said no more. Since Congress is split and corrupt and incapable of doing anything to fix the problem, the system is self-correcting that the chief executive can make progress on the will of the voters to fix what is broken.

The continued harping by the left that Trump is a dictator is ridiculous. Every move gets tested in the courts... more so than another President.

Democrats, who are largely female, are wired collectivist... they tend to reject hierarchies for reasons that probably align with personality filtering and evolutionary psychology. That is why it does not matter that their picks for President are weak, feeble and prone to be direction followers of the committee rather than independent leaders. Unfortunately for Democrats the collectivism model is crap. It has demonstrated massive failure throughout history. The only reason China looks good these days is that it has been able to suck like a leech from free market democracies like the US. Without the US, China is nothing. Without China, the US is better.

Power and control hierarchies have made the world go round. Trump is the Chief Executive Officer of the country. With that comes great responsibility and great authority. His is not a strongman in any derogatory sense, but he follows a history of some previous strong men Presidents that are noted for their performance getting good things done for the country.

Just look at California for how governance by committee works. Check the bullet train for just one example.

Maybe there is some corruption in the institutions you mention (though you've made the accusations without independent evidence), but would you not agree that much of what Trump is doing is for his own self-enrichment and therefore falls under that same corruption definition?

And have you considered the reason why Trump has been tested in court so much? Is it perhaps he's acting beyond what is legal?
